Free to Move exists to make sure every woman can move wherever she wants, however she feels, without fear holding her back.
Our Story
For Alyssa. For all womankind.
On October 14, 2024, Dr. Alyssa Lokits was tragically murdered while exercising on a greenway in Nashville, Tennessee.
Free to Move was created for her, for the loved ones left in the wake of an unimaginable tragedy, and for you.
While we will never move on from the loss of Alyssa, we choose to move forward, carrying her legacy with us. Through research, education and advocacy, we are making a difference in the world — one that would make Alyssa proud.
